Disruptive Appearance
One of the beauties of dry desert air is how clear it is for night-time star-gazing. Growing up in the humidity of Mississippi, stars were usually murky even if twinkly, so it wasn’t until I moved to the arid west that I finally got a sense of how a star in the sky could be so bright as to guide the magi to Jesus’ manger.

Receives Five National Awards from UMAC
The United Methodist Association of Communicators has honored Leah Gallardo Switzer former Director of Media and Resources for the California-Pacific Annual Conference, and her technical assistant, Justin Crutchfield, with five national awards for the web newscast, United Methodists Making a Difference. This is the first time the Cal-Pac Conference has won so many awards.
