Congregational Loan Committee

The Congregational Loan Committee receives funding each year for distribution as conditional donations for facility remodeling or construction. The funds are made available primarily for emerging and emergency needs.  All these funds go directly to local churches with all adminstrative and staff costs covered outside of apportioned Conference-budgeted funds. Requests may be submitted by addressing the items noted below.

To request consideration for this funding, concisely address the items below:

  • A description of the Project; include a time line.
  • Define total cost of the project based upon written bids from three licensed contractors (minimum).
  • Specify amount requested as a conditional donation and amount congregation will contribute to project.
  • Comment on how the project furthers the church's ministry to make disciples for Christ and the compelling reason your project should be given apportionment funding.
  • Confirm payment of annual apportionments.  If full payments have not been paid in full over past three years, please explain plans in place to improve this record.
  • Copy of the vesting deed (Grant Deed) for the church property containing trust clause.

The Conference Loan Committee meets five times a year, in January, March, May, September and November.  Requests must be received 30 days in advance.
