Hawthorne United Methodist Women celebrate rechartering of unit

A long awaited goal was accomplished as the Hispanic Unit was chartered with a special service. Support and information was given by Long Beach District and Conference Officers. Following a delicious lunch provided by the new unit, more training was held.

News flash from Women's Division

School of Christian Mission 2012

Spiritual Growth Study has been changed to Immigration in the Bible

Why the Change?

Living Sacramentally and Walking Justly is still in production and will not be ready in time for

Schools of Christian Mission. However, Immigration in the Bible has already been delivered,

meaning it will be available in time for the 2012 Regional Schools and the Schools of Christian Mission.

Purpose

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women

whose purpose is to know God, and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ;

to develop a creative supportive fellowhsip, and to expand concepts of mission through participation

in the global ministries of the church.
